It was epic fail! I was generally most of the time holding on the sides but I had so much fun and I managed to finish it without getting injured or injuring someone. I would definitely do it again. Any tips from the pros?

I wish I could skate without holding the rails too much. But a roller derby team would be the ultimate goal!

@infatuatedbby hahaha true. Although I think at my skills level I'm in the bottom of the food chain.

Hi Michelle! Don't you think it's annoying when too many people are on the side and you have to actually let go of the rails?

Go for it! It's good to conquer fears. I recommend you bring a buddy with you.

@sishy7 Oh gosh. I reckon it's easier for kids to do it cause they have lesser fears than adults and they are fun oriented.

@flapiz I brought my sons and they totally left me on my own while they happily skated all over the rink... The rails ended up to be my best buddy...

I've only been ice skating a few times, but I found it much easier for me to learn than roller skating. I used to play roller hockey in college, and so I got used to wearing inline skates. So, when I tried ice skating, it reminded me a lot of my inline skates. The only thing I had trouble with was skating backwards on the ice. I could do it really well with my inline skates, but not so well with the ice skates!

I’m scared of any sports. Actually it’s not the sports it’s the injury I might obtain from it. But sometimes I try to be adventurous. I’ve tried roller skates before. I find it easier than ice.

@moffittjc The fear of getting hurt makes me scared of sports like basketball, volleyball, and anything with a ball.

@flapiz I like playing many different kinds of sports. I'm a very adventurous type. Even though I know I'll probably get hurt, I still do it anyway!

I just wish I could have the rink by myself so I could fall shamelessly.
