The Origin of Kid Orange

Jack Proud was a typical teenager. He enjoyed listening to rock music. He played video games in his spare time. Jack was also active in sports. He played on the men's basketball team. Jack was 6 ft. 3". He had wavy brown hair and green eyes. Jack had a girlfriend named Donna Bright. She was very pretty with long, blonde hair and deep, blue eyes. She was an honor student and played the clarinet in her school's orchestra. Yes, Jack and Donna looked great together. Everything couldn't be better. Alas, things were going to change on March 3. Jack had a job on the weekend. He worked at Joe's Produce. Jack was a hard worker. One day a strange thing happened. As Jack was arranging bags of oranges, an orange started to glow. Jack picked up the strange orange. Instantly, the orange bathed Jack in a bright, orange bubble. "What's going on?" yelled Jack. The customers in the store were startled. Jack was in the bubble for two minutes. Afterwards, the orange glow disappeared. Jack felt strange inside. He ran around the store. Joe, the store manager, told Jack to stop running. Jack couldn't stop. His body started to change. Soon, his entire body turned orange. "Oh no!" said Jack. "Why is this happening to me?" Jack noticed that he had special powers. He was incredibly strong. He could squeeze objects into dust. He could send waves of cosmic juice from his fingers with a simple thought. Also, he could transform into any person of his choosing. "Wow, wait until Donna see this!" Jack was feeling very heroic. "There is much crime and villainy in Fruitopolis. I shall become a super hero and save the day. I shall become Kid Orange, protector of Fruitopolis." Will Kid Orange save the day? How will Donna react when she sees her orange boyfriend? Does Jack have any other powers?
