Penny for your thoughts is what I'd like to see.
One penny for you and one penny for me.
One penny for the butcher.
One penny for the baker.
One penny for the plumber,
And the candy maker.
One penny for the doctor.
One penny for the nurse.
One penny for the gypsy
To lift my awful curse.
One penny for the lawyer.
One penny for my friend.
Will my generosity
Ever end?
