Hey all. Hope everyone is doing well (and happy Friday the 13th). I am still working on transitioning into working this night shift (830pm to 430am) and so far it seems to be going well. I have been showering and crashing immediately after getting home around 500. And then I have been waking up around 230. I havent really been able to sleep super well yet but I kind of like the time I have to get things done before having to go into work. Business levels and types of business are entirely different too, which is a whole different thing to get used to. I cant seemyself working this shift forever. Anyone else switching schedules. Or feeling my third shift pain?

I hope you get a better shift soon, night shift can be gruelsome. I work with USA team a lot, so I kinda work an evening shift, to link with them. but it means I get an entire morning to myself and do whatever

I have never done a night shift but always thought it is a good way to have more time. I hope you are not too exhausted at the end.

I'm glad to hear that you are succeeding in this change, you were worried. There are lots of perks with working hours that are not what you had, going to appointments, shopping when it is NOT busy, and so on.

That is very true. That is why I enjoy my days off which land during the week. I never ever want to go grocery shopping on Sunday mornings or afternoons. But I do miss going out with friends on Friday nights. I guess there is a trade off.

My husband worked a 7 PM to 7 AM shift for about a year when the children were small. He only worked a four day week and then had three days off. There were good things and bad things about this schedule. Finally he went back to a day job.....nine months later...

Wow. Nine months is a long time working that shift. And a 12 hour shift no less!
