I purchased a bottle of medicine and a coupon for $10.00 off came out of the machine. I stopped in at the CVS close to my house and soup was on sale. Now I have 4 free cans of Amy's Soup. Its amazing to see the price differences at the two CVS Stores in the town I live in now. Do your stores have different prices at the same stores in your area depending on location in the city or town?

We have 2 Dollar General stores in our area. The prices are the same. The only thing that is different is what is on clearance.

That is great news, as I'm glad to hear there are stores with same prices in an area.

Chain stores around here seem to have the same prices, but the rate of taxation is different from one town to another and in one town they have different rates of taxes in different parts of town. Free soup however, awesome anywhere.

Yes! And it seems that the higher prices at CVS are in the section of town with the higher priced homes. But I have also noticed that with gas at Walmarts in the same town.

It must be the selling date of the items. If the expiry date is near, it make sense for the store to give a deep discount in order to get rid of the old inventory. They can bring in new items with longer shelf life.

That could be why its happening in this area. Soup isn't an item that sells well in an area with warm weather most of the time. The sun is out and its suppose to be warm.

@scheng1 I could use a fresh hot cup of soup now. We have had more rain.

@Fishmomma Not really, we have a lot of stalls selling soups and they are doing very well. We just are into buying cans of soup when you can get the hot and fresh soup within walking distance from workplace or home.
