Sadly, Richard Gautier passed away after a long illness and was 85. He was Hymie the Robot in Get Smart and did many other roles over his long career. I remember him the most for all the game shows he was on in the 1970's through the 1980's. There weren't many game shows I didn't watch at that time and here are some I remember seeing him on then. Match Game, Family Feud, Tattletales, Liar's Club, Password Plus, Body Language, Super Password, Win, Lose or Draw and Can You Top This?. He wrote 11 books and some of them are about caricatures, drawing and cartooning. Also was in movies and other television shows. May he rest in peace and I really enjoyed his television roles. What roles did you see him do during his long career?

I had forgotten about that show - the one with the Max character walking down the corridor with all the doors closing behind him.

Thanks for sharing the clip. I regularly watched Get Smart. The actors were excellent on the show.

@Fishmomma I think the opening sequence has been parodied in a number of films since. Funny and quirky.

@Fishmomma Get Smart was one of my favorite shows. I would watch the reruns if I could find it.
