Slip, Sliding Away...

Our forecast for this morning was that at 4 a.m. we were going to be having rain, turning, to freezing rain and sleet. The hubby was up at about 8 a.m. to let the chickens out of their house. He stated that it was nice out, that he even went outside in just a short sleeve shirt. Now, he's lived most of his life in Texas, so when he says it's nice out, it really must be nice out!! At 9:30 a.m. I went to feed the chickens the fermented feed I make for them. I asked him to make sure that it was "nice" out, right? Well, when I went out to feed the chickens, I didn't put a jacket on either. By this time it was misting out and there was a cold chill. About 10:30 a.m he decides that he was going to get some wood out of the enclosed lean-to. I told him it was cooler than when he had went out earlier and I also told him it was misting. Well, he apparently just thought it was raining, because he was going around doing stuff and pretty soon he hit a slick spot, fell, bumped his head and went sliding down the stairs!!! Next time he will be more careful!! ~Peace~ photo courtesy of pixabay

You're channeling Paul Simon today I see. I hope your husband wasn't hurt when he fell. Ice can be unforgiving.

Hope the bump didn't leave a bump. Yes, he will be more careful next time.

Is he OK? Did he agree with you that it had gotten a tad cooler? Put differently, did he get some sense knocked into him?

I am sorry. Was he knocked out?
