Tuesday's short journey

Near the TX border of NM looking at the Franklin Mountains.

Ok, to me it wasn't short it was reasonable. I drove a little over 70 miles on tuesday, I went to Las Cruces got some items I wanted from their Sams club and then I mosied slowly down highway 128 before heading home. I love that road, it is somewhat parallel with I10 but has a much nicer view all around plus I get to drive through farm lands, it's not ideal but beats driving on an interstate or in the city. In the picture above those mountains are in TX but I am in NM. How kool is that? This was a fantastic day and I stopped all over the place taking pot shots of scenery. I'll bet you could take shots that encompass more than one state, right?

Not right here where I live but the US is a short trip on the highway, Across the border is New York, If I went west for a couple of hours I could be in Detroit..and still in Ontario until I cross that bridge. Because of the great lakes we can't see any of the states until we get very close to the border because of the Great Lakes. I live in the very bottom of the map with lake Ontario to the north and Lake Erie below me..

WOW there must be so much you have yet to see. I wish I had thought to move to that area back when I was still young enough to get used to your winters. A friend of mine lives in Lansing on the other side of Detroit. She's here right now taking care of her elderly parents but she's told me she really misses MI, I can see why.

That's a pretty 'pot shot' you got there. Cameras are great fun to be specially when they work in tandem with our eyes.

Thank you, it is very different from the lush green of India I'm sure. I used to have better luck before my 40s, back then all my shots were on 35mm film or the 126 cartridge film and I used to take some really nice shots. Now I wear contacts and my digital does the work for me most of the time. I miss those good ole days

Back when I used to shoot with film I did all the work @allknowing it was a manual camera so I had to focus and all that and many of those shots I have used here on mylot.

I love taking back rods as often as I can. The interstate is fine but not if you want a relaxing drive and good scenery. This is pretty. There are places that I have been that I could see other states.

How many states can you see if you're in the right place?

@rebelann Four and that is at the Four Corners. There is another area where I can see Colorado and Utah and also Colorado and Wyoming.

Wow, @velvet53 what a view that must be. Have you ever taken any pictures of Utah? I'm just curious if you're able to see those colorful rock formations they have.

That is cool! Would you believe that I've taken photos that encompass two continents? Europe and Asia, Canada and the US. Not bragging. Just stating a fact. Lol!

This is Faridabad-Gurgaon Highway. I like travelling through this Highway because it's so green and open on both sides with mountain peaks in the distance. Clear blue sky.
Usual view of Gurgaon Faridabad Highway on every Sunday. 100+ Superbikers ride on this route every sunday.

Here too @Daljinder but I can't recall seeing as many bikes as what was on that video in this neck of the woods.
