Mykey was sad here he'd do that sometimes.

I signed up to get email notifications whenever there is a pet food recall and I have to say it has been a while, thank goodness. However, today I did get one so I am simply going to share the link with you in case you have been feeding your pup this particular food. I'm using an old photo of Mykey, I took it in Aug of 2011 and I think he was simply upset because Ally was demanding so much of both his and my time. He was 9 years old and Ally was 8 months old and extremely energetic. So, here is the link I promised:

Your doggie has some similarities to a dog I once had.

@rebelann - mine used to sound like a seal when it barked, which is why i named her seal.

I was feeding preiti with Pedigree. She had consumed quite a bit in the past couple of years. What I noticed was that she was shedding badly and no amount of brushing, or any other approach helped I finally gave up on pedigree and now her coat is back to normal.

@rebelann Results show. There is no guarantee that the product remains intact. Over the years they do tamper with it.

I don't feed mine Pedigree or Purina, neither of them have good ingredients for dogs or cats. I have heard that Purina isn't too bad for cattle or horses, but I don't know enough about either of those species to say whether or not I'd agree.

That is a very good point. Well, as far as pet food is concerned it seems it's been a while.

I have never used this food for my dogs. It is always something, isn't it.

I haven't used it before either thankfully. I know what you mean. I've been feeding my furmily Blue Buffalo Wilderness grain free and so far I haven't seen any of their products recalled.

That is scary, I've heard of others on facebook this week...and something about trump allowing companies to use iffy products in dog food - but that was probably fake news.

Yes, it is scary. I'm sticking with Blue Buffalo Wilderness, they haven't had very many recalls during the time they've been around. The stupid media is using Trump as a scapegoat for all things bad, I don't really care for the guy but I didn't care for Obama either and he turned out kinda ok. I'll wait until Trump has been in office long enough to show his true colors, then I'll decide if I do or don't like him.

I don't get what Canadians have to do with US presidents @PainsOnSlate it's not like our presidents have a say over Canadians, right?

@rebelann There was another story in the news today - Canada thinks he's the worst president so far and he isn't president yet....

Sandy is so picky about food. We have spoiled her with human food. She will not eat bagged food anymore.

Well, if you cook for her than all is good, just don't buy the stuff others cook and freeze. Now that you mention it, I need to defrost the drum sticks.

When that happens I presume you get a full refund? Or do they just replace the food?

That is an excellent question, I have never bought a food that was recalled. Now I am curious but who the heck do I call to get an answer? Personally I would want a refund, if they recalled the food I feed mine I'd want to look for a different brand altogether.

My brother feeds his dog organic meat from Whole Foods. My son does organic with his two dogs, too. What an adorable face on Mykey

I admire them both, if I could afford it I would do the same but I do feed my furmily Blue Buffalo Wilderness, it's the closest I can afford to an all organic meat diet. Maybe if this area finally offers enough organic chicken I can start feeding them that, I won't hold my breath for that one though, El Paso always seems to be 20 years behind the rest of the country when it comes to good food especially organic.

I've never tried any of that stuff, it's always so expensive .... so I buy organic chicken and make a meal of it for all of us.

That's new for me.
