There's a lot of words that will stand out. Some "advertisers," Promoters, and anyone trying to gain attention to their work may use bold keywords to attract the attention of viewers or readers. For the most part the words are mere distractions. Through desperation some may use such tactics to draw in an audience but if used too often the audience will catch on and not want to view the material. There's all sorts of tactics used online. Some even try to annoy potential readers so they'll just read the work. Sounds unethical but not against the law. Trying to make money but how long does such tactics work? Not long. Eventually readers will get tired of "coming across" such tactics and move on to more ethical practices. Some may feel the need to use all sorts of gimmicks. Nothing wrong with trying a gimmick or two but the problem is once an audience becomes annoyed with such gimmicks. They'll stop coming back to see what's the next read. Perhaps in moderation or a decision to not use such tactics at all. It's up the writer, blogger, and author.

After all this time I still have not really figured keywords out.

My biggest complaint is keyword stuffing. Makes it so hard to read!, not enjoyable at all!
