As I watch the Inauguration of the 45th President of the United States of America I think of all my newly made friends that reside there.
I wish your country many blessings, peace and goodwill under the leadership of the new President and his council. Not everyone will like the leaders that are chosen, but if we stand behind them and offer support when its required, then as a nation you will stand together, and therefore you will survive together.

In Australia our two major parties end up with almost half the vote each. But I think you need to support whoever is in. Sometimes the other party makes it almost impossible for the ruling party to get anything much done. All they do is bad-mouth each other instead of getting on with advancing the country.

That happened here for at least the last four years. The new one is like electing Darth Vader and did not win by a majority of the popular vote. He was beaten by 3 million votes in fact. The electoral college gave him the win. Millions of us will not support his terrible policies and will resist him as much as we can.

@JamesHxstatic And that doesn't really augur well for the future of the country. We have our own 'Donald Trump' in the form of Pauline Hanson who is some radical views, is more or less against Muslims, etc, etc. People are flocking to her One Nation party as they believe she listens to them whereas the major parties do not. But she wouldn't have a clue about running the country.

Thank you for the good wishes. In my opinion (and that of over half the people who voted), we will need them with this reckless man as leader. Many of us will not stand behind him, but resist the damage that he might do.
