History Is So Weird Sometimes

Stonewall Jackson was a Confederate general serving under Robert E. Lee in the American Civil War. He was shot accidentally by friendly fire on May,2,1863. He had a arm amputated and survived eight days before dying of complications at age 39. He was born on this day(January,21, 1824) in Clarksburg, West Virginia which was then Virginia. He was a skilled military tactician. He goes down in history as being one of the most gifted tactical commanders in all U.S. history.

Yes, and it was just to easy to amputate and then blood loss was a problem and infection.
