I need to apologize....

....to the lady I screamed at the other day.
We have United Healthcare and get our meds from OptumRx. Our bp meds are 'free' now that we switched to generics. The only thing we pay for are our inhalers.
My Symbicort is $125 for 120 'hits'...I take one hit a day (unless I'm having severe breathing issues). The hit stops my wheezing. So basically that inhaler lasts me about 4 months which translates to a little over $31 a month.
My husband uses Advair. He gets a three month supply at a time and when I saw the cost on my Discover Card statement I went through the roof. His 3 inhalers cost $465, or $155 each/month. I thought they made a mistake so I called OptumRx.
The lady looked it up and said that was the correct price for that item. I told her something like: nice lady, I think your prices are way out of line, thank you so much for your help. (that's not exactly what I said, but you get the idea!)
I have seen the ad on TV for an outfit called GoodRx...they say you can save all kinds of money buying through them. I looked up my husband's inhaler and now I have to apologize to the OptumR lady.
His inhaler using GoodRx for a three month supply thru Walmart and CVS is over $1,420. At Kroger, Publix and other locations it goes as high as $1,680.
Hello OptumRx....sorry!!!
Photo is mine.

If I knew her name I would, but like I said, there are thousands of people in their customer service dept.

@AbbyGreenhill When employees reply to the phone here they give their full name, just in case you have to contact them back.

wow that's an expensive med. That may be why retired folks head to Canada for their meds. I heard this was going on some years ago, I don't really know if that's true any more.

@AbbyGreenhill I think it might be legal, do you remember hearing about that some years ago? Yea it's a long way for us to go as well, but fortunately neither my husband or I are on meds.

I don't understand why his is so much more than mine and mine does a better job for me than his does for him.

I hope that somehow you will be able to make your apology, otherwise I am afraid you will fill guilty for too long. We all get caught on off moments, but it is obvious that lyou are a kind woman and such an event is a rare one for y ou.

I'm sure that she understands where you were coming from. You COULD call the company back and tell them to pass along your apology lol. That way everyone who was yelled at yesterday would get an apology. Just think how many smiles you would have a hand in. LOL
