We are watching you!

I've had a few posts lately about things we saw in Bristol when we were there in 2015. One was a lovely launch, Lady Sandals, which was moored in Bristol harbour. We thought this would have been a lot of fun – sailing here and there in such a lovely vessel. So we've both been revisiting our photos from Bristol and Vince googled 'Lady Sandals' and lo and behold, we could see that it is now in Jamaica. We could also see it's been cruising north and south of a local port. Which goes to show – you need to keep your nose clean. You never know who might be watching you!

That is a very uniquely shaped boat. I love the little spot at the top where I imagine the head of the boat sits. Now sure what they would call him/her.

It looks elegant, doesn't it? Some have a fly-bridge where whoever is steering the boat sits. It's a bit hard to tell with this one.

@FayeHazel It would be the captain if it's a charter boat but it might be the 'missus' of the owner at other times.

@judyev Someone certainly is watching us. Second time I went to India the immigration man just shook my hand and said "Welcome back sir" without even opening my passport.

Don't take offence but maybe you have a very 'common' face.

I've never been on a vessel before. That one looks very nice. I bet it's all luxurious inside too.

I remember how many vessels similar to this one there were in the old port of Monte-Carlo, some are really beautiful.

@JudyEv I have seen a photo of a big, elegant vessel called "Princess Trump" with flag of Nassau (Bahamas), I wonder who is the man behind this boat.

I love the sleek lines of this one. Not fussed about the name. It seems odd to call a vessel 'Lady Sandals'.

I'm not surprised. We have many sea-going yachts here in Florida. I met a lady who traveled on her yacht with her husband for months while her new home was being built. He went to law school with my son. I'd love my own yacht, but that will never happen. Ever!

@JudyEv I believe you wrote a discussion about them. Even if we could build one, we couldn't pilot it. I don't even know if that's the correct word, which is proof that we're clueless.

Our friends built their own sea-going yacht and spent six years sailing round the world. They've only recently sold it.

@DianneN It wouldn't suit us either. They didn't know a lot about it either although the woman had sailed one-person yachts or whatever. But they learnt navigation and woodwork and upholstery so well done them. The husband is a marine engineer so knew a bit about engines. I think they were very brave - or maybe very foolish!
