Here's an update from my On the Hot Seat post from yesterday. I did hear back from that agent I mentioned last night. She apologized for not responding to me by Christmas in an email and her thoughts on Venom. She was looking for a project that might be a good fit. Though she didn't connect with Chain Reaction, (I figured as much, since I lost a partial last week and figured as much), she did like my voice in Venom and had a couple of good elements in it. She would've asked for edits and passed on it, though I would be okay at receiving another R&R along with my other two I've received already. She also did say it has potential and hoping this other agent would provide me with feedback I'm looking for as she reviews it. I hope I can request a R&R out of her, if I do get some personalized feedback. She also said kind words about me--that I was a dream to work with, on how long I've been devoted to this project--and wished me luck. Though she might not be my dream agent anymore at this seams, I hope her other agent would pick me up. I hope to send her Diplomatic Immunity next week and hope for better luck between the two agents. At least, I have some closure at long last. I hope to query this agent with something new in the future. Better late than never, right? I'm still on the hot seat with a cool burn this time around.
