Romance Is In the Air

Just a few little interesting tidbits of information I found for you today. Who is feeling romantic? Or would, at least, like to read some interesting “romantic” tales? Here’s a story about Thomas Edison that I had never heard before. It seems that Thomas and his wife would talk to each other privately in public places by tapping out their message in Morse code into each other’s hands. It was actually, how he proposed to her. Now, isn’t that sweet? How about this one? Patrick Henry, the patriot who gave the “give me liberty or give me death” speech right here at a church in Richmond, Virginia left his estate to his wife with an interesting stipulation. She was not to remarry. He said, “It would make me unhappy to feel I worked all my life to support another man’s wife.” So what happened? She forfeited the wealth for love and remarried. Do you have a story about romance in your life?

I cannot think of any stories like that off the top of my head. But those stories seem very romantic indeed. But I will tell you, the woman I am with now I knew many years ago before I got married. And I always vowed to myself that if I ever have the chance to be with her I would help her through this life and be with her forever. Well, a few years after my divorce, I actually bumped into that woman. And guess what, I was there for her. And we hit it off just perfectly. Although things were different, We were the ones that should have been together from years ago. A missed opportunity or what I say, just plain serendipity.

@IreneVincent Thank you. Too bad it didn't happen at the time. My life up to now would have been way different.

@inertia4 I'm sure you are right about that. I met my husband when we were 16 years old. Got married when we turned 18. Stayed married and lived a very interesting life of love and happiness.

Me too. I have read a lot of love stories over the years. And I published a romance novel last year.

Oh. Can't marry again. Doesn't apply to me. Tanikka Paulk perhaps others who claim to be me maybe. Interesting story. That is. Wouldn't nice if the names were included. Be blessed.
