Spud has arrived!

United States
January 31, 2017 8:55am CST
Yesterday, January 30, 2017 at 8:08 pm, baby Thomas Leo arrived. He weighs 6 pounds 13 ounces and is 20 1/4 inches long. Yes, baby Spud is here and has a real name. For those of us who hoped the baby would have a real name our wish came true...he will not have to go through life with a potato name or have to deal with being bullied over being called Spud. Thomas is the baby's maternal grandfather's middle name. I assume Leo is from baby's father's side. All is well and New Jersey has a new resident!!! Congratulations and best wishes on the arrival of Spud who now has a real name I've always been partial to the name Thomas as it was my grandfathers name. Welcome to the world Thomas Leo!!

The father's family always used the kids middle name as their first name. the baby's grandfather is Peter Thomas but they called him Tommy...now they have all kinds of weird names for him but I still call him Tommy and he said I'm the only one who can get away with it - I've know them since 1956.
