Grow Your Own Oranges - Part 5 -
So, at this 9th day (216 hours) of starting growth the orange seedlings are out of their diaper stage and into toddler time. You can see that the roots are getting bigger and that the stems and foliage are not so far behind.
Not so long from now will be their time for transfer into little pots with real dirt. The problem I am going to have with that is our moving from this house to another place out in the boondocks. First truckload of stuff to go there tomorrow.
Ask me sometime if I have a headache. Well, no I don't, but my knees feel as though they are about to fall apart, and my back has evidently been hit by a great big motor car.
Onwards and upwards, good friends...

Grow Your Own Oranges - Part 4 - Thought I had best do this with those orange tree seeds. The little guys are delicate critters, so if they are handled to...

It is so nice that you are sharing these details. We are struggling with indoor sweet potatoes and some other things at the moment.

@Ceerios We have some in water and some in soil. No clue what we are doing, but thought we would start these inside and just see what happens.

@PatZAnthony - Hi Pat - That sounds much as I would be doing... some in water, some in dirt, some in haste, some in vain... -Gus-

@JudyEv - Ms Judy - Those sprouting orange seeds are really getting with the program, and you have that exactly correct. As to the aching back, my fitness routine for the past few years has been to lift coffee cups up to my face from the table - and now I am hoisting big, heavy boxes and lots of furniture items, too. Ouch, ouch, ouch. (Big load of stuff went to the new digs yesterday - more to be carted - a lot more.
I just learned that Australia was once a part of the bigger continent that included Madagascar, New Zealand, India, etc. (Talk about moving.....)
