Love at first sight

Since now is February and Valentine's Day is coming I been thinking what is love. For me love is such big word that I don't think it's love if I see somebody attractive and even if we get along well. What I do know about love is that it can make you blind.
So what are your thoughts about love at first sight? And do you also believe in soul mates?

Looks can be deceiving. Many thought that they fell in love instantly with a person who is good looking but once they found out the real personality of that person, it will turn them off. For me, I can say that the love at first sight statement is premature.

I don't believe in love at the first sight. I think true love always grow up slowly. Yes I believe in soul mates.

@GegeTheMechanic well, I believe because I found my husband. The first time I met him and saw in his eyes, I felt that it's not the first meeting and I have been knowing him.

I think love (or attraction) at first sight is a good start but it has to continue and if it continues and it is reciprocative, wonderful. I think that's the way it should be and any other way it won't last.

It's normal for young people to be in love at the first sight. In my opinion that is not love it is meant to be.

@GegeTheMechanic Parents also have love for their children. Off course, we cannot mix love in this matter. I mean it's something different.

@yanzalong yes that's a bit different but also love at first sight when mother gives birth and see the baby first time.

I am also trying to figure out what is love at first sight. We surely see love at first sight in movies, dramas and in literature but in real life, it seems a mystery to me.
