Would you give a ride to a stranger?

In cinema, this premise has been explored countless times in the genre of suspense (and the results are always bad
). This surely must have generated a certain mistrust in people who usually drive, especially on long trips... So, would you give a ride to a stranger if he / she asked for one?
This never happened to me, but I'd sure think twice, three or more times before stopping the car for a stranger to come in.

Wow so you mean you did allow a total stranger to ride with you? So brave of you. And so kind.

@Friendlypink Back in the day, there were many hitchhikers. I was somewhat selective. But still had a couple of scares.

No, I would not because you never know who you are picking up. With things how they are these days I certainly would not pick up a stranger for sure.

Certainly not in this day and age. I would even be afraid of giving a whole family a ride because they might be pretending to be a family. Who knows???

Generally speaking I am all for helping people. But I usually draw the line when it comes to welcoming a stranger into my personal vehicle (for safety reasons) unless I am the one offering.
