The 'late' clinical instructor.

My duty resumed last Thursday. As usual, I wake up at 4:30-4:45 AM, boil water for the thermos, cook rice for my sister and son, prepare breakfast, and boil water for my bath too. After fixing myself, I have to be out of our house and wait for a ride to the hospital;usually, 6:25 AM, I should be waiting and my son sends me off as well.
But it was not my day last Thursday. I am always punctual, but I waited for a ride from 6:25 AM to 7 AM. I had to send a text message to the beadle informing him to wait for me because I was already late.
The other colleagues and students got worried; I am always there waiting for my students in the hospital lobby, and not seeing me last Thursday brought anxiety to my colleagues and students. They were worried I might have met an accident.
Until when the beadle read my text message were they relieved.
A level 4 student who was my team leader for my level 3 learners, coincidentally passed by at 7 AM and so she took me in her car, and then we went to the hospital. We arrived at 7:15 AM; a minute more and my students should have been told to have their duty in school.
My colleagues and students released some sighs of relief; I told them that I was "the LATE clinical instructor" and we all burst out laughing loud.
Yesterday, I still woke up the usual, but i finished myself at 6:15, waited for a ride, which came at 6:25, and again, as usual, I was in the hospital at 6:30 AM. I was the first who arrived, and I like that.
Indeed, when it is your practice to be punctual, you will hate it if you come late.

yes, and my reason was valid. my colleagues and the students were so worried too when they have not seen me at 6:30, at the hospital lobby.

@ridingbet Some will surely learn and appreciate, but there will be a few who will never understand.

@LadyDuck yes that is true. there are still some staff nurses who hurry to get their thumb prints at the biometrics, and i think they should wake up early and arrive in the hospital early too so they won't rush.

Yeah sometimes this happen because we're just relying to the passing passenger vehicle, my recommendation is for you to buy your own cool car now

indeed, because it should be inherent in us to always come on time or earlier than the scheduled time, but there were circumstances
beyond my control that was why i was 'the late' instructor
