Protests and Riots

It seems of late that there is always a protest or riot happening, because people aren't happy about something. Now since I was raised in the 60's and 70's when some one "protested" there was NO violence. People went around with signs and stating their beliefs if different from others. People did things in a constructive manner. Riots were violent, NOT like what they call "protests" today. I'm all for standing up for what a person believes in but is it necessary for you to loot and riot (burning things, people or places) to prove your point? To me, that is just proving you can't prove whatever point your trying to make civilly. Also, I don't think you have to "bash" the person that you don't like or can't seem to get along with. If you're in disagreement with someone, don't use name calling to make your point. Also, if you make a promise to do something when the person you're in disagreement with follows through, then go through with your promise. I know it would be a utopia world, if people would get along and be peaceful, but since it isn't at least disagree civilly and constructively. ~Peace~ Photo courtesy of pixabay

For me that is just a waste of time, risking your life for something uncertain and blurry and has a 99% sure failure. In this life the battle is all in the mind. If only they know how to fight back using their heads to get what they deserve.

All the violence, looting and what not just makes them look like children throwing a hissy fit. It totally discredits their cause and voice.
