Need advice on baby diapers..

My family members and friends keeps advising that please avoid usage of diapers and stick on to cloth diapers or just clothes for my baby girl. I'm not too sure and I don't want to get rid of it completely. I don't have a bad opinion on diapers though. For few kids it creates rashes but for those who are okay to cope up I don't think diapers are bad choice .. Are diapers that bad ? What are your thoughts?

you can use them at night or in travel which is convenient. day time better use cloths and change when its wet. do not use for 24 hours and do change once in few hours.

No ..not at all. But not recommended on daily basis.. How old is your kid? Do you use diapers the whole day long?

My kid is 3 month old.. yes I'm using it all time. I tried cloth plus absorbable rubber sheets, but sometimes it makes her dress wet and I had to change everything after cleaning with hot water. I'm afraid that she would catch cold. So far, diapers are comfortable and I make sure I change them periodically without fail..

@smileyhema I wont recommend daily use...try using cloth nappies in the day...diapers don't allow the skin to breathe..

Some babies may develop rashes with the diapers. I think parents should check and change the same within a period of time. If you are taking care of your baby yourself then you can opt out diapers. Use only when going out, participate functions, at night so that her sleep wont get disturbed. Other times, you can make a habit of taking the girl to washroom in a particular inter well, which will give you positive results in the long run.

@smileyhema I wish I knew but I haven't even been in the position yet to change them. I hope to learn one day as I believe it's a good skill to have.

@smileyhema How exciting! I wish you all the best with that. I imagine that would be quite time consuming.

Proper time of disposal is good. I mean if you know how to take care of your baby's skin. You should be on time in changing them and put a powder and wash them every time you change them into a new diapers. But anyway try to consult your pediatrician if your baby are okay using diapers. Because some baby gets irritated quickly or they are having a hard time to pee because the chemicals are too strong for them. Using cloth can also a hazard to the baby special if they pee and it goes to their back that might give them pneumonia or something. Just take care of the sweat and check from time to time of your baby's hygiene. God bless.

Yes. I get what you are saying. I change diapers on a timely basis and make sure I use rash prevention cream every time..
