When reporting the news it is good to follow How and his 5 brothers W:
1. Who?
2. What?
3. Where?
4. When?
5. Why?
and there brother - 'H'
For detectives to solve a crime they must first find out:
Who is the suspect?
What did they allegedly do?
Where did the crime take place?
When did the act take place?
Why did the alleged unknown subject commit this alleged act? In other words,
What was his MO or mode of operation or modus operandi?
When reporters go to the scene of a late breaking event they must report:
Who or What is the event being reported?
What is happening and Where is it taking place?
Obviously Now is when the activity is taking place so When is a no brainer.
It's happening right now as Late Braking News!
As to why it is happening is left to speculation by the people who are watching the news and the interpretation of the event as told by the news reporter.
A writer who is telling a story uses How and his 5 brothers W every time.
The context of the story and the content of it are based on the observations made by the author. The author writes it in first person singular as if they are writing it down in a diary.
You can read a first person singular example from the following link:
This article is based on a study of recently published diaries by the writers Mikhail Prishvin, Kornei Chukovskii, Ol'ga Berggol'ts, David Samoilov and ...
