Who you gonna call? 1. When your cat gets caught up in a tall tree and can't get down? 2. When your sink turns your kitchen floor into a swamp? 3. When your car gets a bit too hot and you are afraid of blowing a head gasket? .... and so on. Do you call somebody? or ... do you try to fix it yourself first ... And if you fail then do you call somebody? I for one, try to do it myself, with one exception, that is, to climb up a tree to get my cat!

My husband will try to fix it and if he can't then we will call someone. He is handy and can fix small things, but there have been times when we had to call the mechanic when our Clothes Dryer went out. There was also a time when we had to call someone to fix the Dish Washer. Now concerning a cat in the tree, many years ago as a teenager at my parents house, our cat crawled way up a tree and was there a couple of days until we realized she was there. If I remember correctly, my Mom did call the Fire Department to come get her down.

That poor kitty cat! Glad your Fire Department came to the rescue! Bet that cat was hungry and tired. Hope it has less curiosity about that tree now.

I did just that. I did try to get a snake down the drain but when it ended up not budging any I realized it might be going in the wrong direction and only a plumber knows where these pipes in the wall lead.

If I can solve it, then I'll just do it myself. If not, I'll call for help, especially number 3 as I don't know much about cars.

Yea, I know that cars can be a bit tricky for most people, including me.

I call Ghostbusters! Just kidding. Depends on the situation whether you can solve yourself or seek assistance.

I do so but sometimes when I get into panic mode, I just get a bit nervous and don't think as clearly as I should. After taking time to get a grasp of the situation I will usually think more rationally and ask someone who actually knows about this or that type of thing.

If there is no one around to fix it, I will call somebody.

That is what I do sometimes but usually most people say they are too busy. I think that means, No can do cause they think I won't pay for the work and I in fact, do pay and rarely ask for help if I am flat broke.

I usually try to solve my own problems and if I can't do it then I try a friend who might now more than me and if they can't then I call a professional.
