The last week and a half I have been busy trying to finish ha daunting a small quilt. I'm not quite ready for a full reveal....I want to gift it first. Somehow a taser seemed to be appropriate. So here's a sneak peek at the outer border. I'm about one quarter of the way around. You can expect to see a full image around February 21.

Will it be warm on a Winter night, like a comforter?

It's just a small quilt....even as a lap quilt it's not especially large

I'm now about two thirds of the way around the border. Hopefully tomorrow I can finish the quilting. Then on Tuesday I'll attach the binding and finish the quilt.

Most of the quilting is finished...just the borders and then the binding to go. With any luck I'll have it finished by about Thursday which will leave me a week to spare.

The colour is nice, it looks like a dusty rose with a lighter pink with some flowers on the other side. I'll be looking forward to hearing that you finished the project earlier then the date of the 21st for the reveal!

The floral pink you see is the back of the quilt...it is turned over the raw edge to protect the edge and the batting. I'm still trying to decide how I will bind it.

@Morleyhunt I knew it was the backing, but I'm thinking that there has to be some pink in the quilt for it to be a complimentary colour......but I'll wait for the grand reveal when you're done.

I certainly love that quilting pattern and color! Did you hand stitch it?

Yes it's hand stitched. As soon as my trade machine comes back from its servicing, I hope to try some free motion quilting.

I like the color of the small piece I see, also the red roses on pink background.

The pink of the border doesn't give any clues to the quilt....the pink floral is the backing.

I was responding to one of your discussions and see to the right side of my screen, is more of your work.. so I had to take a look to see what this was here. Now how to see if you had a revealing party , so I can see.

I spend a lot of my time working on quilts...either piecing them or quilting them.
