Diary 10th 11th And 12th February 2017

Diary Friday 10th February 2017 The day after my birthday proves to be an ordinary freezing cold one, consisting of shopping and desperately trying to stay warm while out. It felt like being in an invisible blizzard. My flat’s central heating is my new best friend. Diary Saturday 11th February 2017 Another extremely cold day. I had to make a quick shopping trip to stock in for the coming week and actually enjoyed the warmth of the supermarket I visited, knowing I would soon have to head out into the elements again. Sunday 12th February 2017 The weather shows no sign of improvement. It rained a little today. Fortunately there was a great creative writing workshop to look forward to, preceded by a visit to the local public library for some job hunting, The library is just round the corner from the café used for the writing activity fortunately. From a very productive creative exercise workshop (he resulting story I created is added as a separate page here on Mylot) I headed home to the heat again. Arthur Chappell

The phrases "extremely cold" and "rained a little" don't go together for me, but I'm from the American Midwest.

@TheHorse I appreciate there are places where the temperature can hit 40 below zero - we are wimps in the UK - 3 degrees below zero is the ice age to us

@TheHorse there is a great deal of greenery here especially our national parks and the Scottish Highlands, Snowdonia, etc. Our cathedrals are among the best on Earth - civilization is probably not much better or worse than California

@arthurchappell I want to visit the UK. I hear that people are relatively civilized there. And that there are sometimes green fields. And Gothic Cathedrals.

You have a public library open on a Sunday? That's rare and very good.

@asfarasiknow yes the library is part of the museum and art gallery complex so they open it all up together

Don´t know if I wished you a Happy Birthday or not but there it goes Happy Birthday albeit late of course. Even though its very cold and it is here too have a great week ahead and enjoy that Central Heating. My best Central Heating is the Car when I can get out in it of course.

When it is so cold I can imagine how nice it is to get back into the warmth again.

Hope your weather gets better. It's chilly here, but not so cold that I can't wear shorts.

After the Friday with snow, we had two incredibly warm days. This morning it was sunny, I hoped the better weather was here to stay. After noon a chilly wind brought everything back in winter.
