I can't wait until March 12th!

No it is not my birthday, that is a few more months away. No it is not our anniversary, that was a few months ago. No we are not having company or celebrating anything. So what's the big deal" Its the first day of Daylight Savings... That gives me that summer can't be far behind! And Ruby is so anxious to have her pool open. March 12th is just a baby step in that direction!

@AbbyGreenhill Yes, and I learned something interesting not too long ago. My Sister in law lives in Arizona and do you know that Arizona doesn't do Day Light Savings Time?

Aahhhh yes ... I like it when the clocks go forward.... but we are fortunate here in spain... even in dec and jan it does not get dark before 6 o clock and already I have noticed how light it still is at 7. 30 pm when I take our dog for a walk...

Spring forward! We lose an hour and many of us have to adjust (I always do) but we'll have an hour more of light.

As many hours as I've lived adjusting twice a year is not a big deal!

@AbbyGreenhill Yes, the Swiss wanted to vote not to have this anymore. Our country needs light in the morning, not in the evening. We already voted once and it was the only time the Government did not follow the popular vote. We still have it.

I do wish, though, that they (whoever they are) would do away with it.

It will be so nice knowing that it will start staying lighter longer each day. I hate when it's dark at 4pm

One thing about living in Eastern Time Zone but close to Central Zone - it's never dark until well after 5 in winter. It's light until about 6;30 now

Well I knew it wasn't the first day of spring. We have a bill before our legislature to put an end to Daylight Savings Time. I wonder if it will go through before then.

TN tried something similar and it went bust.

Yes, summer is getting closer all the time! We don't have daylight saving in our state but most of the eastern states do.

You are in central time zone I assume, as that would make it 6:30 here which is the time it started to get dark - we are only a few miles from Central Time zone.
