Romanticizing Moonlight

Do you find moonlight romantic? Do you want to kiss your lover in the moonlight? On a moonlit nights do you open your bedroom curtains to let the moonlight shine in to make it a more romantic atmosphere? Is there really anything romantic about moonlight? I guess it’s the movies that has filled our heads with notions of romanticizing moonlight. You can make it romantic the same you would a day on the beach with your significant other. Frankly, my dear, I have never found anything romantic about moonlight. I mean it will lighten up an area that is usually dark on a moonless night so thieves are able to see what to steal without having to use a flashlight. And what about those things you see on moonlit nights? You know, those thing that move about that you can’t see well enough to identify. The thing that could be a ghost but you can’t really tell. What about your strange neighbor howling at the moon? Does that send romantic feeling all over your body? I hope everyone had a very nice Valentine's Night even if there was no moonlight to romanticizing your night.

Happy belated Valentine's to you! I think there are times when the moonlight looks pretty "cool". I actually like it when there are dark clouds about and it looks Halloween-ish. I suppose it could be romantic - depending on who you are with - but I find nothing romantic about my strange neighbors .

@RichardMeister I don't know if they howl at the moon, but they sure make other strange noises . A big black spider ? Maybe it was just trying to be romantic .

@much2say Maybe they are trying to howl at the moon but just hasn't gotten the knack of it yet. Oh, I forgot. Spiders don't scare you. How about a big old cockroach–about three inches long and a inch wide?

Have your "strange neighbors" howled at the moon yet? Valentine was not what gave me the idea to write this. I crawled into bed, shut the light off, opened the blinds and in shined the moonlight. Since it was near Valentine's Day the idea came together. If it was near Halloween I would have written something spookier. Such as the big black spider hiding under your blankets at the foot of your bed so you can't see it in the moonlight. Now you know what's been tickling your toes at night! Sleep tight.

You're a real downer, aren't you? Trying to dampen my romantic moonlight evenings. My last moonlight enhanced walk ended up with me flat on my back on a cement patio floor. The pain was not a bit romantic.

Sorry, I was trying to be a bit funny. Sorry to hear about your visit to the cement patio floor. There wouldn't be anything romantic or funny about that. But it may prove my point.

It doesn't worry me one way or the other really. It's nice to see a big full moon but that's about it.

I think moonlight can be just a bit eerie

It all comes down to our "mood" and not the "moon" Isnt it?? Anyway good one. The movies fill our heads up with their stuff surely.
