The kindness in strangers

So I went over to my grandparents house in the afternoon for a visit today. I noticed there was a good chunk of snow at the end of their driveway (or in my case the beginning, as I first drove in) and it was hard to drive in. Anyways, I had a great visit with them. As I left their house, I backed out of the driveway.. And silly me, I knew there was the deep snow at the end of the driveway, but kind of underestimated it, and got stuck in it, as well as, between it and the HUGE snowbank between my grandparents house and their neighbour!
So that wasn't very good.. I went and grabbed a shovel from my grandparents house, and started digging, trying everything to get out. Very very shortly, however, a car stopped by.. A father and son. The son asked me if I needed any help (thank goodness!) So to try to make a long story short, we tried a lot of different things to get my car out of the snowbank/deep snow it was in.. including digging more and having people push from behind. Finally, the father went and got his jeep (it seemed like he lived pretty close as far as I could tell) and tied a cable to the back of my car, and pulled me out! So, also, there were cars on both sides that were trying to get by us, that were being tied up.. So I just quickly left to go home, I thanked them both of course, but wish I could have repaid them some how or something. Really, you just got to love the kindness in people, it goes a long way!
Image is a Honda Civic by Pixabay. It is a car I drive, which I happened to get stuck in, in the snow today, heh.

There are nice people out there. Where I live, people help shovel cars out all the time.

@teamfreak16 Oh, that's great! :) That's very interesting, here.. Our worst months are January, and February is probably the absolute worst, though. March, and the first half of April can be pretty bad as well though.

@mawdest - We've had a very mild winter so far. I've been wearing shorts all week. But March and April are historically our worst months, so we may still get hammered.

Wow!! Good thing that is in an area with some caring neighbors wanting to help. That was very nice of them.

Kindness should always be appreciated and reciprocated. The feeling of gratitude is enough when you cannot repay back.

That is great! There is always somebody willing to help when you need them. People can be very kind especially when it comes to people getting stuck.
