Where Do You Get Your Ideas For Writing About?

Either here, or other writing sites, or magazines or blogs, etc you write for. This has been a thought of mine and as someone posted we should not all write about something we just read hear it made me think of how to be creative.
I know there are people who cannot get ideas unless encouraged somewhere else, and then there are those who can come up with any type of idea and write about it and things always flow.
Many times, I am wondering what people think of me, and if I have what it takes to be a published author somewhere. But then again where do I get my ideas without seeming unoriginal.

Ideas come to your mind through experience. Experiences in life make you think about life and along with the surroundings, you can do some good writing.

For sure. What you have been thru in life does come with challenges. When you can write and share with others it may end up helping someone else needing the advice and suggestions.

I am not trying to be a writer so I choose to write about my life and personal things. =)

Nothing wrong with sharing everyday life. At least you have somewhere you can come and talk.

An artist once told me that nothing is really original -- only one's perspective is unique. Artists and writers borrow ideas from each other all the time and stimulate each other to see new perspectives on something familiar. I get most ideas from my experiences and the photos I take. I get others from interactions with people and what I see going on in the world.

Yes, there are many times things I want to talk about and Write about stem from things going on around me.

I get my ideas from either news articles, books, movies, or my life.

Always a Good way to try and decide what type of topic you might want to come and write about here.

I have given up on worrying about writing anything of real worth. I write about day to day happenings and if I get stuck I go through our photos where I always manage to find something to write about. On a site like this, it is helpful to be one of a small number of Australians. Stuff that might seem quite ordinary to me is often interesting to those in another country.

I enjoy reading what you share. Gives me knowledge of a country I find fascinating as it without reading all your adventures and being able to respond back.

I'm not a writer by any means. I look at it more like chatting.

I know many times this is one thing I have been known to do too.
