Everything Accomplished - Time to myLot

As usual it's been a long day. Everything went well right up to my leaving the laundromat to come home. Then it happened. The constant ding on the dashboard and I'm checking all doors. I'm not seeing any lights on on the dashboard to give me a clue why it's dinging and setting me on edge. I hate dinging in the car. I even made certain my blinker wasn't on when it shouldn't be, because it will ding for that too. Nada. I was halfway to my son's place when I finally saw the faint red light on the left bottom corner of the dashboard. Brake. I needed brake fluid.
Okay, I can deal with that. I dropped my son's laundry off and asked if he could put it in for me since I don't have the strength to lift the hood on the car. He said yes and I went to Kwik Trip to get the brake fluid and went back to have him put it in for me. Silence. What a heavenly sound. Silence.
Now I'm home and am in the process of eating and myLotting. It was a very good day, despite the unexpected need for brake fluid.
Do you have things go off in your car and can't find the source of all that noise? What was it?
Thanks for reading.

Hi friend! I don't have a car. I just walk from our home to my workplace. It is great that you accomplished everything. I am also working on that.

@just4him Thank you. I just bought a book. It is entitled "10 Time Management Choices that Can Change Your Life." I would like to finish reading it soon.

Right now my car keeps telling me I need an oil change. It will have to wait as things have been tight recently.
My husband's car dings at everything.. if there's something too close to the car it will ding. If his phone goes off while he's driving it will ding. If the passenger undoes their seatbelt because they're getting out of the car it will ding.
It's also one of those keyless cars, so hubby will just keep the fob in his pocket, and if he gets out to go into the gas station or something and leaves the car on, it dings incessantly until he's back in the car!
I do like the heated seats and steering wheel though!

@sugartoes I'm working on getting him to learn to either turn off the car when we stop somewhere, or to leave the key in it!

@katsmeow1213 That would drive me insane. When I was on vacation with my friend, she drove, the car dinged until I had my seat belt on. That drove me nuts.

Our SUV made an odd noise this morning as I was leaving the gas station, but it was only momentarily and I'll try to remember to tell my husband about it when he's home this weekend. We need to replace it, but we'd like it to last until after we move as its so handy with all of the room in it.

Most likely. My son told me I could take it to Auto Zone and they would put the brake fluid in for me. I told him I wasn't driving all the way through town with that dinging when the gas station was just down the street from where he and his girlfriend live.

Our cars rarely bing, but they do tell us what needs doing. My sports car is due for vehicle emissions within two days of our return home. We received notification yesterday. Not too happy, because we wanted to look for a new car those days.

No, the only ding my car makes is if the driver isn't wearing the seat belt. That's cool that your car can warn you of something like that, you don't want your brakes to fail.

Yes, headlights in my eyes is very hard to deal with, especially with those new lights. They're so bright. I don't mind the blue ones. Those don't blind as much.

I've had that happen to. I just unsnap it and snap it in again, it usually stops the ding then.
