Since this has come up twice for me, I should clarify a few things: yes my name is Jennifer Jones, no I was not named after the movie actress, in fact, she acted in movies about 10 years before my own parents were born, and they have never heard of her. She does sound fascinatin though, and I may have to check out some of her work when I get a chance. I'm more of a Bettie Page fan though love her work.

@JohnRoberts Not that I can recall. Of course, I've seen probably hundreds of movies over the years whose titles I don't remember, so I may have seen them.

I had not heard of her either, but now I am curious.
Nice to know that you know Bettie Page though, I have heard of her for sure.

@librarygeek1980 She sure is Jennifer. She changed a lot in her lifetime, I mean she changed how women were viewed.

I recognised the name and mistakenly thought it was the same as she who played David Cassidy's mother in The Partridge Family. Of course on checking I now know that was Shirley Jones.
At least I got the surname right. Right?

Bettie page was a pinup model back in the 1950s, one of a kind, original. Here is a pic of her, it might ring a bell

@librarygeek1980 I didn't know she wore them - I thought that was Sally Jesse Raphael.

I did immediately think same name as the actress. Actually Jennifer Jones was a movie name. She was born Phyllis Isley.

It was pretty commonplace back then to have stage names, I think Lucille Ball did
