Breast of Bottle Feed...

Tonight, I am finishing up a very lengthy post about breastfeeding and bottlefeeding and how I hate how each has a stigma. I have done both, and it doesn't matter which one I choose, I can't win. With breastfeeding, people would look at me funny when I was breastfeeding in public, even totally covered up. With formula feeding, I get those nursing moms who glare at me when I start to make a bottle. I have heard a woman tell her son breastfeeding was disgusting (once again, I was covered up, not that that should matter) and I have seen eye rolls and comments from pretentious moms who ask, "Did you have problems breastfeeding? You know they have lactation consultants." Uhm no, thanks. I got this! In fact, I breastfed my 5th child, exclusively for almost 4 years. This time, I am on too many meds to exclusively breastfeed her, but that is none of anyone's business in the first place. It is a choice, and it isn't going to make or break your child's future.
Anyway, rant over. I just wish mothers would support each other more, and respect their decisions as parents. We are forces of nature and do everything in our power to keep our kids healthy, happy, and safe. The first decision we have to make for our kids shouldn't be such a hard one.
And yes, that is my little baby in the picture. She was 4 months there, but she is 5 months now. Love her so much!!

I formula feed but I have no issue with what other moms do. It is a choice for each mother to make according to what works best for us. I agree with you, the looks and comments are frustrating.
