I Challenged my Doctor

With this aim to challenge my doctor who said that I should take the prescription drug for blood sugar, I am currently on the 16th day now on restricted diet.
It is usually composed of sweet potato or cassava, bananas, or leafy green vegetables or salads. No rice or very little rice at all! And also limited amount of sweet potato or cassava which are starchy too. I also added cinnamon powder to my coffee instead of sugar or creme. There's no meat at all except for a little chicken breast meat, and fish most of the time.
So far so good, I lowered my blood sugar to 122 (as of today). It was 128 when the doctor told me I could not diet and exercise! Next month when I see her, I'll show her that I can do it without the meds.
It really takes determination and discipline to win a challenge.

So true, now my blood pressure became normal too because it's been a month since we (my husband and I) went on a restricted diet; with no pork or beef, only chicken and lots of vegetables.

I too would rather work on my diet instead of taking meds...
