We Had Car Trouble Again

Last Wednesday, while out running around, we had a part on our car malfunction. I tried to post about it and I malfunctioned. Lost the discussion. Anyway, we had replace the power steering pump on the car when we got it, but a sensor went crazy. It spewed power steering fluid over the hot engine and we had lots of smoke in the car. The mechanic who helps us helped hubby diagnose it, we ordered the parts and he finally was able to install it today. Now he is out getting fluid for it. He is also looking for a connector for a portable dishwasher I was just given. I hope he is successful with that as well. As much as I like to cook, I always have dishes to wash. So I am visiting with friends, doing laundry, cleaning and just appreciating having a day at home.

Oh wow I would have been very upset about the car problems. Soon all will be well by the sounds of it so that is good news!

The part is on, he has gotten some fluid and we shall go for a drive to make sure. He could have taken the entire power steering pump off and returned it, but it would have been more trouble than it was worth.

Cars nowadays can be very complicated to fix. Ours has a fancy computer type system which makes it nearly impossible for home mechanics to work on.

Definitely, many of the newer ones are beyond home repair.

Sneaky tires. We have had our share of those as well.

We are up and running again. We have too many cars so there are too many things that can and will go wrong. They are old cars though so we have to keep a spare.

It seems we do, but this happened when hubby was along and our friend was available to help diagnose it.

It's nice to have a day at home every now and then to do a little this and that. Sorry to hear about the car trouble. I can't live without mine. As for the dishwasher, I wish I had one to malfunction. Actually, come to think of it, I do, my husband is the resident dishwasher.

I have not had one since we moved. Hubby wanted to wait til we remodeled and build one in, but the price was right on this and he knows how much it helps with all the cooking dishes and pans.

@GardenGerty Lucky you. I have one in the house we are selling but the one we are in at this time is woefully missing a dishwasher.

I was glad this friend is so nice to advise us when we need it, and help us for jobs that are too big. I have loved being home today and getting to catch up on many things.

Yes, I liked my day at home. It needs to happen more often. I am sorry about your car. I know you cannot just replace it with any old spare.

I am having a great day. At some point we will have the cars all lined out. The worst thing was the smoke since I am just getting rid of my long term cold.

This morning we had sausage gravy on biscuits. Later I made pull apart or monkey bread to snack on. Laundry is done, beds are changed.

I so hate it when I type out a post and then my browser crashes! So frustrating. I wish there was a draft saving function on here.

I am not sure, but believe it was my fatigue that caused it. I was just feeling very unwell by that time. I have been known to write in notepad or some such, but have not bothered to in a very long time.
