How do you feel about Drones?

Drones are everywhere. From stores to online sites, you can buy a drone. Drones can be used for good or evil. I like to buy from Amazon and was excited to hear that they are considering using drones for same day delivery---Now that's service! Plus, I heard how they plan to have them used for taxis around the city. On the other hand, drones can be intrusive if you fly them over your neighbors house especially if you have a video camera. In fact, they are making drones the size of insects. Can you imagine that? In view of this--What are your thoughts? Would you buy a drone? Are you excited or depressed about drones?

These are not the drones you're looking for. Oh, wait, that was droids.
I appreciate their good use, such as providing aerial footage of the devastation in Gatlinburg after the fires or in areas hit by tornadoes or other natural disasters (where it's just not safe for people to go, especially people lugging cumbersome camera equipment and live satellite feed news trucks). But yes, they scare me. I don't think there's a single thing that was ever intended for good that wasn't quickly picked up on and used by people with bad intent. I think I heard a drone buzzing outside my window one night, which is one of the fears: peeping Tom goes high-tech! And, of course, eventually some terrorist is going to load one with gelatine or mustard gas and fly it into an otherwise secure area. God forbid, and I hope I'm wrong....

Good thought. I like technology but unfortunately, there is a negative side to it. Thanks for your input. I really appreciate it.

I've heard good things about drones. I've heard bad things. I've heard more good than bad, so it's probably a pretty nice piece of technology. I personally have no need for a drone.

At the moment... I don't think that I would be interested in one... Now I did think that it would be interesting to use one just to look at what our area looks like from above. We have been here in the country for about 6 months... Still getting used to it!

Just that. Dubai is going to start using flying drones as taxis to take travelers to their destinations starting this summer, apparently. They have a range of something like 30 miles.
