OMG! Did you watch the Academy Awards last night? I watched some of it and the end of it, because that’s when they do the Best Picture, Best Actor and Best Actress.
I could not believe the ending though. It was like the Miss America contest all over, when Steve Harvey announced the wrong winner.
Warren Beatty named the WRONG movie as the winner. It was crazy. All the actors from “La La Land” got up on stage and gave their speeches and received their Oscars and then had to give them back.
How in the world does something like that happen?

You never know what will happen in the last few minutes. Like the Super Bowl this year. Amazing. I wonder how many turned off the game before it was over? They really missed out on the excitement. I've gotten into the habit of recording programs. I recorded the Daytona 500 race and have not watched it yet. I'm not that much of a race fan but it's a major event so I recorded it. I'll probably watch it today.

I know. It was so bazaar! The look on Warren Beatty's face was priceless. What in the world made him say the wrong movie? It just didn't make sense.

It has all been explained now and the accounting firm was to blame. They gave Warren Beatty the WRONG envelope.

An example of incompetence. A conspiracy cloud will now be attached to the winner.

I know. I couldn't believe it! I thought it was all a big joke! But that would have been really wrong on something that important to all involved.
It was crazy!

It was the accounting firm that gave Warren Beatty the wrong envelope. They had duplicates for all the awards

I read that he was given the wrong envelope. But here's my question: best picture is always the last award, so why were there more envelopes?

A news report I saw today said that the accounting firm always has two locked cases with duplicate envelopes and It was THEIR fault. They gave Warren Beatty the Wrong envelope. They have since apologized

I didn't watch it at all. I suspected many of them would bash President Trump during it and I was right. I read where some did. I think it is so wrong and tacky to make political statements during awards shows. I refused to watch it. I think it is hilarious that they announced the wrong Best Movie. It is like Karma hit the Oscars for being so Political!

Hey it was because everyone was like in la, la, land and didn't quite know what they were doing.

I'm glad I didn't get to see that here in Latvia but I will look at some of the silliest moments just for interest on YouTube.

Well, Warren Beatty was not to blame. He KNEW something was not right, so he handed the card to the actress on stage with him and had HER read it.
