PMS roulette

As I was just telling @TheHorse - my inspiration for writing on MyLot comes from what I experience in my life. So I apologize if this is more about me than you ever wanted to know. If you do not like medical or "what's wrong with me" type of posts - you may wish to read something else, now.
I was going to throw a warning out there for the men, but I am pretty sure that if you are old enough to be writing on MyLot, you're probably old enough to know that your moms, sisters, nieces, wives/girlfriends, and/or female friends go through some monthly ordeal and few things are more attractive than a well informed man. Also! I once heard that men go through a tri-monthly hormonal cycle. Of course it isn't exactly the same as the female version. I have searched and searched for information on this, but nothing has turned up, so who knows how accurate it is. Interesting and could be possible.
Anyway! As I was writing my "crabby" post I realized that yup, indeed it is "this" time of month for me. So it appears that "grouch" is on this month's PMS roulette symptoms. I find that I can never predict accurately what symptoms I will get. It feels like roulette each month with popular options being as follows:
depression, grouchy, bloated, hungry, pimples, tired
I get them in all different combinations. Do any other women find this?
The Grouchy aspect of PMS I find feels really weird. You know that you're grouchy. And you don't want to feel that way. But you do. You just do and there is seemingly not much you can do about it.
I have found some help in "Pamprin", a special over the counter medicine. Also chocolate. The cravings symptom usually seems to center on high fat foods or red meats. (Steak and avocados, anyone?)
Here's a link to an article below that attempts to give some helpful advice. Though I wouldn't attempt telling a PMS-ing woman that she should avoid caffeine or sugar... lol
PMS problems are an issue that 90 percent of women of child bearing age deal with every month. Learn to deal with it using natural vitamins and supplements.

@librarygeek1980 You sound like my friend Wendy!
It's a time when a man can say nothing and still be accused of saying the wrong thing.

Yes, you are wise. As I have told my close female friends - "please prefix all potentially troubling information with chocolate and caffeine". It really is the strangest feeling though - you know that you're crabby and that the problem is you... but you can't do anything about it.

I am glad I don't have to worry about it anymore. It use to be awful especially the bloating.

Good for you! Ugh, sometimes it hurts to walk up the stairs thanks to the power of the bloat.

I used to have really brutal periods when I was younger. Now being in my 30s and being on the birth control pill makes them much lighter. Month to month mine are pretty the same symptoms I get so that is good at least I know what I am in for each month. I think the regularity is due to the pill so that is one good benefit of it.
