We call them ladyfish. This fish is not common these days and so expensive. I grabbed the lot when the fisherman came to the door. Lldyfish can be cooked in several ways. I will cook them in coconut juice adding all the green masala - tomatoes, green chillies, onions, garlic and ofcourse turmeric and chilli powder Seasoning with finely sliced onion fried in ghee will be the icing on the cake. What's your fish story?

I don't think I've ever had ladyfish! Your seasonings sound so flavorful. We usually do plain . . . a bit of olive oil - then salt and pepper - that's it - and that's with most any fish we get.

@allknowing Oh, please keep up your wonderful culinary methods! Believe it or not what I do is even more than what my mother did . . . she literally only used salt on fish!

In fact I can't tell many fish. It is my first time to hear about ladyfish. Perhaps it has another name here. Here the most popular way to cook the fish is to steam it. After that, put some hot oil and soysauce on the fish and it will be very tasteful.

@allknowing Here we like the fresh taste, so we don't add many seasoning to the food. And we also think that steaming is a healthy way to cook.

I have never eaten fish. I stopped eating meat when I was 7 and based on the smell of the fish I would not eat it when I did eat meat. My late husband loved fish. Enjoy your fishy meal :)

If one can manage being a vegetarian nothing like it but we have been brought up eating fish and meat.

I make reservations. I'm not a good fish cooker. I've never heard of ladyfish, but they do look nice and slim. Lol!
