It may not enjoy the same popularity like it did two decades ago, but the skirt suit is still suitable for many occasions. It looks good in an executive setting, and can be worn to a job interview- depending of course on the type of job. The cut, color, fabric and accessories could transform it into the perfect outfit for a wedding, funeral , cocktail party or business lunch date. Right now I have two in my wardrobe -ready and waiting for the right event. Some styles never really go out of style. Have you ever worn a skirt suit or a pants suit?

I love skirt suits and pantsuits. When I worked, I wore them lots. They certainly are classics and staples in my wardrobe, even now.

@Kandae11 I don't think I can fit into too many anymore.

If you have wardrobe space it is advisable to store clothes that go out of fashion as they come back.

There is one style I won't wear if it comes back and that would be bell bottom pants - I am not a pants person anyway.

@allknowing that is true I believe styles come back every 20 years. Not the exact same thing though but very similar. Like bell bottoms in the 70s and then flares in the early 2000s. So saving clothes so long may not really work as they would still be out of style.

They say the Duchess of Cambridge has helped to put them on the radar again, since her appearance in one some time ago.

At work we have a uniform which I never wear. I usually wear a blouse and a pair of slacks or skirt and a dress. I sometimes wear a cardigan or just use a shawl.

@nottoooldtowrite I wrote a discussion about uniforms some time ago titled "Too Uniform for Comfort. " - I mean the same style may not be suitable for everyone's body type.

No as where I worked a uniform was required in the hospital as I'wired as a nurses aide for y ears now they can wear colored pants suits or slacks but nit tie elegant skirt suit of executive fields at all not appropriate in a hospital.

No it won't be appropriate unless worn by the secretary or the receptionist.

I am more of a pants specially I commute everyday. I don't want running and jumping in and out of the bus and jeepney with a skirt lol! But I do wear skirt if I ride a taxi.

Suits like that in the picture won't go out of fashion. Our past uniforms are like that too. I am excited for our new ones , though the cloth is still being looked for.

Some preferred to wear the pants suit instead of the skirt.

I think if a suit looks nice on a woman then she should wear it.
