Long posts in mylot can earn you quite a bit in mylot because I have seen some with lots of interactions.I am already at literacy base.

As I have commented above interaction has nothing to do with the length of a post but that which the community as a whole is interested in and also a post should be visible when many myLotters are online.

@workathomefan No,those number of interactions are for the person posting the discussion. Some people here get many responses on all their posts whether they are short or long.I personally prefer shorter ones, especially on some particular topics. That is why I visit your discussions often.

Those who have a penchant for writing long posts they could earn quite a penny at LB and at the same time they can write here smaller ones which are in greater demand.

@allknowing And do you think it is worth it if you aren't on FB, or Twitter, etc?

@allknowing You know,I agree with that.Once in a while,I do read a long post as I know that particular person writes good posts.

They should interest the community as a whole and be visible as well.

@JustBhem There is a 'recent' tab. At a particular time in the day many myLotters are online and if your post is somewhere at the beginning of that list many will respond.

I think that it all depends on my mood on how long my posts is going to be.. if I had a really bad day at work I might have a long post ranting about it.

That's a good advice. Long posts can be very boring sometimes.

Long or short, really doesn't matter to me. I'm down to read whatever my friends post here in myLot. Will check out Literacy Base one of these days.

I have seen short posts getting a high position in top rated. It has nothing to do with long posts but posts of general interest to the community and visible when myLotters are online.

I like shorter posts, some days my time here is limited and I read new discussions from my smartphone. Longer discussions are harder for me to read without being interrupted at work. I also read them on the go which means that I might be waiting on a line or being in the public transport. That's the main reason I prefer short posts that make a point in a couple of paragraphs. Otherwise I enjoy longer discussions when I am in front of the laptop drinking my coffee on weekends.

I prefer shorter posts, too, although I have read some really well written and interesting longer posts. The ones that tell every detail of their day are very difficult to comment on. I also don't care for lengthy history lessons, names of people and places that are meaningless to me, and those lengthy posts that are better left to those interested in publishing their works. To me, time is of the essence.

I don't like really short posts, but I'm also not ready to read a book. A couple of paragraphs sounds about right. Most of my comments are longer than some of the posts I see.

I too do not like one liners but as you have said a couple of paras would constitute short posts.
