I visited mylot member whom I followed and guess what I found out.
I can read her discussion, I can still see her profile but I cannot respond to her discussion. There is no "respond" button there. Though I can hit like.
I thought it's just a glitch but I visited most of the members I followed, all of them I have no issues. This makes me think that this member is restricting me to respond on her discussion. And I am sad a little bit because I don't know what is the reason behind it.
Is there a way for us to restrict anyone not to respond to our discussion?

I really have never understood why we have the block button here and I have never used it ever.
It is sad that this person blocked you, though they might not have done it on purpose.

I only saw this once, but I thought it was some temporary problem.

Agree with what the others wrote. You may have been blocked by this person by accident. Best course for you to take is to PM this person and ask if you were blocked by accident or on purpose. If you were blocked on purpose, now would be a good time to ask for the reason.
Good luck to you however it goes.

If you were blocked, would you still be able to send a PM? I would think that the PM goes with the block. Just thinking :) Don't block me, my friend :)

Maybe the member blocked you. If you're not doing anything bad why the need to block others? Maybe he or she is choosy with people here

@sunrisefan That is how the block feature works. Someone has blocked me. I can see everything they write, I can see their profile, I can like their discussions but I can not respond. They intended to block me

It sounds like this member blocked you. Sometimes it happens accidentally. I have only blocked one person here who was very nasty to people.

There is a person I do not quite remember her name. She has ruthlessly blocked many here. She has interacted with me and we have had no issues but one fine day I see she has blocked me.
My advice. Do not even bother. There is plenty of fish in the ocean.

accidental/unintentional blocking happens here frequently and the blocker might not even be aware that they tapped the button with their finger or there mouse hit it. you can ask a mutual friend to send them a pm to ask.

It is odd that some do choose to block a member here, but that might be what happened. It could have been accidental and the person does not know the feature was selected.

which means that member block you from responding to her discussions, how sad that you didn't even know the reason why she restricted you.
