Really nice feedback on my ebay sale

I know you're supposed to give good customer service and I know you hope that someone comes back and says you did what was expected, but there are times that something is said that just makes it all worth it. I recently had feedback from someone who had made me an offer I had to refuse. Her offer that didn't include shipping was barely more than the cost of shipping the item which would have left nothing for fees, let alone profit, so I explained that to her and apologized for having to reject her offer. She re-offered the same amount, but agreed to pay shipping, so I accepted. After accepting, I found that I was able to ship for less than I had listed, so I refunded her a portion of the shipping cost since she had been nice enough to buy the item after being rejected once. This is the feedback she left me. I just did what felt right to me, but it meant a lot to her. Her comment made me feel really good. I don't do things to receive pats on the back, but the ones that come can sometimes make my day. This was one of them. How about you? Has someone said something to you or about you that just warmed you through and through?

Congrats on that feedback. I don't recall if anyone has or had. It would be nice, though.

It was nice to see. I was actually surprised because usually feedback is pretty generic. The personalization meant a lot.

I am a public speaker. I get nice comments in votes of thanks and sometimes in emails and letters after the event or in write-ups the groups I speak to send to local papers or post on their websites. Some are kind enough to say that I am the best speaker they have had in years. Great feedback gives you a real lift, especially when it is unsolicited. What a great buyer.

You do what I wouldn't be able to do and I commend you for that alone! I freeze in front of groups of people. My hands actually sweat!!

@jerzgirl I had to take a course to learn how to do it - I'm not a 'natural'.

Most definitely. She had initially asked if there were fade marks in the photo, but I told her that was sunlight coming through my blinds hitting the jacket. I was thinking she'd now find fault when she received it, but she didn't. It made it doubly pleasurable!
