In my city we pay attention to the soup. We think it is healthy and we almost have it everyday. Here the apple soup is one of the common soups. Just put the apples and pork inside and it will taste very well. It is very simple.

Interesting! When we have pork, sometimes we will have apple sauce on the side . . . but I've never had them together in a soup!

@youless What else is in the broth? Is it purely a pork broth?

Here in Switzerland mashed apples are served with pork roast because apple and pork go well together. We do not eat pork.

Except for the apple soup, we don't use apples to cook. We don't make apple pies here.

@LadyDuck I think it may not be a traditional Chinese restaurant

Perhaps this soup is much more available in families rather than restaurants because it is very easy to make

In fact it is not a typical Chinese soup but somewhat it is much more popular here today.

Of course we make apple soup many times already. It tastes very nice, and it is not like drinking apple juice.

At first it is not a fat soup. Second, the apples are supposed to be something healthy.
