Not a big change you might think but for me giving this up after so many years will have some effect on me for some days. I used to collect milk cream and make ghee out of it and this I have been doing for for years. This is one of the many things that i have to decided to stop doing so that I have more time to relax. We use ghee in seasoning meat dishes, applying on chapatis and adding while making some desserts and snacks. I will miss that aroma that used to permeate the whole house when the ghee was getting ready on the gas. What activities have you planned to give up?

What I want to give up does not want me to give it up just yet anyway. I would also like to get out of the Kitchen for a day if only a day and eat out just for once. Have not done so in ages.

I do not suppose you can give up the kitchen unless you want to live on love and fresh air

@allknowing Yes but a girl deserves a day out every so often. We were never born to be eternal slaves.

@lovinangelsinstead21 Jokes apart, it is time you thought of a plan that can do away with your kitiichen if you so hate it.

I too do the same and I don't think it will take much time. If you ask me what I want to stop, I will tell I want to get leave from Kitchen work especially cooking

Is ghee hard to make? I've heard of it, but I don't really know what it is.

It is not hard to make but I am slowly giving up doing things I can live without. Want to live a more relaxed life. Ghee is the next step to butter.

I gave up teaching as a career. Other than that, I don't plan on giving up anything.

I am still looking around to see what else I can give up so that my life has less stress - drops make an ocean.

@JudyEv I am looking around to see what else I can live without. Even having house guests which we have over done over a period of time - I do not encourage that any more. How will you clean your place? (lol)

It looks like a pudding in your photo. I have heard of ghee but am not sure what it is. I am thinking maybe a type of cooking oil? I will have to go do a search and find out.

@allknowing I did look it up and it looks interesting. It says that it is healthier then the butter we have here as it does not have preservatives in it etc. I used to do cloth diapers but I gave that up after my kids were potty trained

It is the next stage of butter. I am looking around to see what else I can give up and have less chores around me. Do you have anything that you no longer do?

My mom too used to make ghee like you said but she no longer does it. Any of the stuff I buy is not like the home made variety. You may decide to start making it again.

I am giving up a few of my activities out of choice. Pure ghee is available here.
