People are not willing to invite Technology

The hollow bricks technology was introduced since the year 1996 in India. It is gaining popularity. But, most part of this technology is being used by the multinational companies only. The housing department is not making use of this method and people are also more concerned and interested in the use of Red Bricks only for the construction of their houses. They are some Maisons who are illiterates mostly, and semi-educated. If you want to construct a house and seek the opinion of a Maison about the use of hollow bricks, and solid concrete bricks his reply will be 'WHY SIR? THEY are not good enough. They are not workable for Indian Climate. They are most vulnerable and give scope for cracks and are also not convenient for plastering with cement and give odd look". I really surprised to listen to such answer when there are no such things noticed in the case of buildings constructed right in front of my eyes. If the cement is applied to each brick properly and wiped out nicely where is the need for cement plastering again. The bricks are already looking smooth as they have been given smooth finish only. Even in the case of solid concrete bricks, once a care is taken to apply the cement plastering properly there is no need or chance for getting any crack. When I contacted an Engineer in this context he replied 'THESE ARE THE PEOPLE WHO ARE UNEDUCATED AND SEMI-EDUCATED WHO DO NOT WELCOME MODERN INNOVATIVE METHODS AND THE WHOLE THING IS TO COVER UP THEIR OWN INEFFICIENCY'
