If I remember right I could find a user by writing their username using the search option but this action does not seem to work here anymore or is there something that I am missing? I would be very thankful to you if you can please guide me in this matter please. Please let me know how to search a member by their username?

Mike has given a good response. If you know approximately the user name, you can try a myLot search on "Full Text Responses". If I search "Suny" it will return some discussions/responses from members named Suny, Sunil, etc. Including you. Do not ask me why.

Maybe the username isn't correct or the user doesn't exist anymore

Just mouse over the search feature, and you will see other options. Then, you can choose "user" and search specifically for a particular member's name. Even if it's not the exact name, you should get a list of similar ones (or at least, I just did when I tried it). There is a variety of things that you can search for by using that method, from users to specific discussions. Good luck.
