Paints and Sewing Supplies

Today was my organizing day. Sometimes I store things in our deck closet and forget what I have out there. I love to paint and haven't done it for awhile. I found my paints and was pleasantly surprised that nothing had dried up. I had tubes of oil paint, acrylics, fixers and everything I need. In fact I had forgotten I had so much. I puzzled over where to stash it. In our small apartment that's not easy.
But the two containers fit perfectly under the bed on top of my canvases. Now I have all my painting supplies together. Next I looked in the large storage box and there was my summer clothing from two or three years ago. I brought some of those in and washed and hung them up. Now I have new summer clothes without buying. I carried our winter clothing to take their place in the storage box. I hope I don't forget them next winter.
Next I unloaded all my sewing supplies that I keep in the linen closet. I use my small sewing box constantly but haven't looked in the two larger ones any time lately. I found Oodles of needles, thread, battery scissors, besides the usual ones, tape measures, pins, buttons, zippers, and those plastic squares and triangles for cutting out quilts.
It was a mess but I straightened it all up and now I have everything in place. It was a job but I'm pleased I stuck with it and got the job done. Now I know where everything is and I can paint and quilt when I get the notion. What did you do today?

It's lovely to get organized. Today I went to the movies with friends and we all had a nice meal afterwards. I still have some organizing to do yet.

That is awesome that by cleaning that up you found such useful stuff. I think I would be the most excited over the clothes :-) I went to my boyfriend's house today and we watched a movie which was super lame but it was nice getting to spend time with each other alone.

I've been trying to get things organized too especially my yarn for crocheting projects. My sewing box is a mess and I probably should work on that sooner rather than later. Its nice when everything is neat and orderly isn't it

I am going to work on my sewing area tomorrow and get it re organized and decorated a little bit tomorow. As for paints, I acutally just started bying acrylic paints again today. We lost all of mine when our storage place got destroyed. So I hadn't had any. Luckily I picked up four different colors and some brushes today. so I am well on the way to starting over.

Good luck with your organizing and decorating. I've done just about everything I can to our apartment. But management will paint and replace the carper when and if I feel like moving some pieces of furniture out of the way. I enjoy shopping for paints but luckily I wont have to.
