What is the difference?

As I have said before I prefer natural remedies and using natural ways to maintain illness and injuries.I use essential oils and I purchased and used Lavender Organic Essential oil and it worked fine. Then I purchased and used regular Lavender Essential Oil and it worked fine too. The other night I emailed an Essential Oil distributor and asked what was the difference because essential oils are natural. I got an email back the next morning (because they were closed the night before) and it stated that the difference was that the growers of the plants the oil was extracted from the ones that could afford to pay USDA got to label their plants and oils organic. So I called to confirm that I read that correctly and it was confirmed verbally that I had indeed read that correctly. I then went back and compared the price of the two types of oil...... the Essential Oil with the title of being organic and labeled that it is approved by the USDA ( USA government) cost's $4 more! Actually it shouldn't of surprised me!

I read the beginning wrong, and thought you were saying you bought used lavender oil. Like someone had already used it and put it back.

@AmbiePam LMBO! I am still thinking about it and laughing. The people in the house are thinking I am crazy. But yes I needed a good laugh.

I am not surprised either. Any product labeled organic will be more highly priced - because of the label.

Yes especially if they are labeled Organic USDA certified. So another words they paid the extra money to get that label.

Yes what is organic usually is better than the one that is too sheap. When they are too cheap, that mean they have adulterated the oil, means mixed other oils with it that may cause allergic reactions. I like to go with the " Now" trade mark, for their quality and not too bad priced. You have "Plant therapy " and Eden's garden" and the cheapest one of all that still pretty good is "AroimaForce".
